More Inspiration For Let's Squash It! Trees and Leaves Challenge

Hello Squashettes.   Gail here today with some more inspiration for the current Trees and Leaves challenge.  

I went close up on the tree and used sizzix Woodgrain embossing folder.

I embossed a piece of kraft card with the woodgrain folder, smeared on some tea dye distress ink and mounted on a blue card base.  I'm very into cats at the moment so I grabbed this cool Peekaboo Kitty and fun sentiment, both from Carmen's Vearanda.

More Inspiration for Challenge #25 - Trees and Leaves

 

This month we're all about Trees and Leaves here at Let's Squash It!

We have the very talented Joanne with us as our guest, so here's a quick reminder of her adorable card:

Isn't that EF a beauty? I think I need to add it to my wish list... and the dainty leaves too... and the gnome!

Here's what I made for this inspiration post:

Trust me, but this looks so much better IRL. The EF is a Sizzix 3-D Texture Fades folder by Tim Holtz called Acorns. The depth of the embossing is amazing and so tactile.

You still have until the end of the month to play along with this challenge and it would be great to see more cards in the gallery. I think this theme would work well for Halloween and Christmas cards, so why not come and join the fun?

Let's Squash It! 

Let's Squash It! is The Embossing Folder Challenge.  We are gonna help you explore the world of the not so humble embossing folder and encourage you to dig 'em out, knock the dust off and find old, new and fun ways to make your projects pop. 

We have an awesome team to keep you entertained and awesome challenge themes to stretch your creativity and get you using all those long forgotten and neglected embossing folders. 

For those of you who are just tuning in you can check the previous posts for the story behind the genesis of the challenge and the technique posts for awesome tips and techniques to help you make the most of your supplies and folders.

Challenges start on the 10th of the month and run to the last day at 23.59 GMT.  We will be picking top picks and a winner, who will have a chance to be our guest designer for a future challenge.  These will all be announced on the 8th of next month.
