Let's Squash It! Challenge #22 - Keep it CAS!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 22nd challenge here at

Let's Squash It!

Let's Squash It! is The Embossing Folder Challenge.  We are gonna help you explore the world of the not so humble embossing folder and encourage you to dig 'em out, knock the dust off and find old, new and fun ways to make your projects pop.

We have an awesome team to keep you entertained and awesome challenge themes to stretch your creativity and get you using all those long forgotten and neglected embossing folders.

For those of you who are just tuning in you can check the previous posts for the story behind the genesis of the challenge and the technique posts for awesome tips and techniques to help you make the most of your supplies and folders.

Challenges start on the 10th of the month and run to the last day at 23.59 GMT.  We will be picking top picks and a winner, who will have a chance to be our guest designer for a future challenge.  There is a little prize on offer for a randomly selected winner and these will all be announced on the 8th of next month.

So, Challenge #22
And this month's theme is

Use any Embossing Folder AND Keep it CAS!

Use any embossing folder and Keep it CAS - yes, we're all about Clean and Simple cards this month.   Because we are also all about embossing folders we are happy for you to have a single colour fully embossed background if you want, but please keep it clean and simple with minimal embellishments and images.  Please make sure you include both parts of the challenge on your card and also check da roolz to ensure your entry will be eligible for the random prize draw!

We are very pleased to have our Let's Squash It!! Empress joining us as our guest designer this month.  Please welcome Carol L.

"I started scrapbooking while my children were growing up, and one day I walked into a craft store and saw some sample cards announcing an upcoming class to learn how to make them. I signed up and I've been hooked ever since. I made cards for soldiers and hospitalized children through the years and although I don't make cards on a massive scale like that any more, I still enjoy making them for my friends and relatives. I'm honoured to have been asked to guest design for the Let's Squash It! Challenge."

And here's what Empress Carol has made for this challenge:

I'm so glad to see the sweet and delicate CAS from Carol, congrats to her GD spot! Amazing CAS cards also from you both, Gail and Jo! I'm not good in making CAS cards, but hope to be able making something!

Lovely samples from all three of you. Although I love making CAS cards I don’t usually think to combine it with embossing so this was a great nudge in a different direction. I may be back with another if I get chance!

Not seeing my comment on here, so maybe it did not go through. Blogger! Ugh.
Lovely cards by each of you. So pretty the way Carol colored the petals and centers of her embossed flowers!
Thank you for this challenge. It's fun to get to participate for a change!! :)
